Biography

Adam Galinsky is a Vice Dean and professor at the Columbia Business School. He has published more than 300 scientific articles on leadership, negotiations, decision-making, and ethics. He co-authored the best-selling book, Friend & Foe (2015), and his TED talk, “How to Speak Up for Yourself”, has been viewed over 7.5 million times.

He received numerous awards including the Social Psychology Career Trajectory Award for “uniquely creative and influential scholarly productivity at or near the peak of one’s scientific career,” the Columbia University Mentoring Award for demonstrating “an exceptional commitment to faculty mentoring through their work with tenure-track and mid-career faculty in developing their careers,” and he has been selected as one of the World’s 50 Best B-School Professors.

Professor Galinsky is also the Executive and Associate Producer on award-winning documentaries, including two short-listed for Best Documentary at the Academy Awards.
